The Udine business center project is located in an industrial area. The area is completely immersed in green and surrounded by industrial buildings. The project concerns the construction of two multifunctional buildings overlooking the central square. On the ground floor of the two buildings there are service functions such as cafeteria, gym, medical center and conference center while in the first and second floors it is possible to have spacious offices.
The principles that guided the concept were: centrality, views of the mountains and the creation of a large central park that provides breathing space.
The buildings have articulated and dynamic shapes, as the generating element of the project is the circular arc which gives energy and movement to the complex. Both buildings are composed of two different volumes: the base has a regular shape but tends to curve in correspondence with the square; the upper element is a parallelepiped positioned overhanging the lower volume, so as to create a portico that invites users to access. The buildings are inserted within the green park and crate the central square, in which the main entrances are located.
The project is developed by SBGA | Blengini Ghirardelli in partnership with the engineering firm Archest, which is in charge of structural and MEP design as well as construction management.
