Located in the countryside near Novara, this factory is one of the world’s leading cashmere production facilities. The competition’s concept brings together production areas, administrative offices and a showroom within a single architectural complex, strengthening the relationship between manufacturing, management and brand representation. The building is defined by a light, horizontal profile, in dialogue with the distant Alps and the surrounding moraine hills. The three-storey office volume develops around a tree-lined courtyard, while large glazed surfaces create a continuous visual connection between interior spaces and the landscape. The production area is organized in a single-storey volume with a shed roof and integrated solar panels, combining functional efficiency with environmental awareness. The surrounding landscape has also been enhanced through new interventions along the nearby stream and the introduction of an elevated cycle path, improving the relationship between the industrial site and its natural context.
