The design for the new headquarters of the Italian Embassy in Tirana features three primary volumes: a “podium” dedicated to public reception, surmounted by two institutional buildings representing Italy abroad: the Embassy and the Italian Cultural Institute. These two structures are connected by a roof garden, creating a cohesive and dynamic spatial relationship. The façades express a dual character: externally, they are clad in solid stone, reflecting strength and permanence; internally, they feature glazed surfaces, allowing the office spaces to overlook a central courtyard, fostering openness and connection.
