RESIDENCES CITYLIFE RB2 - MILAN, ITALY

The CityLife Residences, developed in collaboration with the Libeskind studio, represent a seamless fusion of tradition and innovation. Drawing inspiration from the classical courtyard layout and the distinctive materials of Milan’s historic neighborhoods, the design reinterprets these elements with an avant-garde vision, characterized by an asymmetrical, layered facade. Located along the southern edge of the site, the residential buildings ascend towards the northern park, establishing a dynamic dialogue between architecture and the surrounding landscape.
The complex comprises three elegantly curved buildings that encircle a central open courtyard. Designed as an outdoor living room, this space creates a tranquil setting for residents to gather and unwind. Undulating outdoor areas, adorned with sustainable composite wood brise-soleils, introduce a rhythmic and harmonious aesthetic that unifies the development.
Pedestrian pathways weave through the courtyard, seamlessly linking the street, the park, and an underground parking facility. To maintain the serenity of the courtyard, vehicular traffic is limited to a perimeter loop around the site, providing uninterrupted access to double-height lobbies and private parking areas.
