C’entro is a modular frame made of colorful fiberglass rods that allows people to be connected in a safe way, helping them to be together while respecting social distancing measures for coronavirus. This modular system can be extended to accommodate up to 2 people. A spacer (1,5 meters) is connected to the circle, enabling it to measure free space between people. C’entro is an instrument to socialize rather than a barrier, created to be used both outdoors and indoors. C’entro, which originated from an idea by Massimo Bertani, was presented in May 2020 in an open letter addressed to the Mayor of Milan, Giuseppe Sala. The work was done in collabration with Cristina Bernasconi.
