HIVE “lounge seat” on NEXT’S trapezoidal support structure focused on the optimization of space by examining the design principles of an airport lobby. The ideology of bee hives, the best example of space optimization in nature, is the inspiration for the design process. The ideology of intersecting and networking, found in bee hives, combined with color and functionality, created the contemporary airport lobby seating collection.
